I used to think professional confidence came from having all the answers. Over time, I realized it comes more from staying calm, thinking clearly, and being willing to learn when you do not immediately know every answer. That mindset shift made me a stronger leader and collaborator. What experience or perspective helped you become more confident professionally?

Honestly I have a mindset of what is the worst that can happen? Will I die? No, well then I use my experience and connections to make a decision. My prior career the answer was possibly yes many times so I wasn't as confident and was more cautious. In my current role though it's a simple gather info needed if any and confident it is my best of my abilities and move forward.

Confidence is everything

Has anyone ever asked to renegotiate their salary after starting a job? I’m 2 months into my new job and I have far more responsibilities than what I was told. It’s a lot different than what was relayed in the posting and during the interviews. Additionally, they hired my counter part in as a senior manager which is at least $30k more than what I make. My peer has more experience so I expect that but I feel that I should be paid more, however I don’t want to leave a bad impression… any advice?

Which companies in Canada are giving remote opportunities in the insurance industry?

Hello everyone ,
I’m currently working in insurance customer service at an agency. I work in the mortgage department assisting w mortgage changes , payments etc. I’ve been thinking about becoming a claims adjuster most likely for property damage . Is it worth it ??? I hear a lot of talk about how claims adjusting is a lot of work and very demanding but I think my current position has prepared me for the challenge. What are some good companies I maybe should apply for after getting my license?
