In this job market? Go ahead and apply to multiple positions if you feel like you’re qualified for all the ones you wanna apply for. The key to finding a job right now is to play the numbers because job market is tough. They are 100+ applicants or rep position so yeah if you see multiple positions, you wanna apply for go for it cause there’s a good chance. They won’t notice that you’ve applied for more than one.
Why would it be an issue ? Only reason I can see it being seen as desperate is if the positions have the same hiring manager. Depending on where you work only your direct manager would be notified of your application submissions.
I would limit yourself to two. I think if you start throwing 3 or 4 applications at the same company you might raise some eyebrows. But I think 2 is just fine especially if the roles are similar!
I don’t know, but I wouldn’t think that putting in applications for different jobs would come off as a dealbreaker for a company. If anything you are just really interested in getting your foot in there! I found a bunch of roles at one place and applied to everyone of them, didn’t get any, but don’t feel like that was the reason.
I would keep it to no more than 4 and make sure you are a match for the role. I worked for a FAANG and saw people supply for 30+ jobs. It does make you look desparate, and also lacking in focus.
