Specialization and repetition
yup. some people out there are brilliant, i’m not. instead if i do some repeatedly, over time i’ll learn every nook and cranny of that process and through that specialization i become an expert and ultimately success becomes the result
I work with a lot of people who I would also not describe as smart, and they are successful. It's all about knowing what you need to know and using it consistently. Keeping good records and being careful. Smart people fail to succeed in the tech industry because they don't do those things, even though they are the simplest things. I'm also not somebody I would consider smart, but I'm doing well in my career and it's because I know the basics and I take good notes.
Focus on learning by doing. Practice and ask questions whenever you need help.
