I want to get a boring job asap. How can I transition to operations, project management or anything business related?

I hear you and this might be a valid dream. But, I feel like you should know that just because they’re not writing copy all day, it doesn’t mean their jobs are boring. They present a different set of challenges on equally constrained timelines, budgets, and staffing.

But, if you’re serious about this, consider a pivot into creative recruitment. Which you can then segue into creative ops. Then, from there, use your creative ops skillset to transition into overall business ops.

Most of the PMs I work with are useless pencil pushers. They just passively wait to be told what to do and sometimes send recap notes. Great ones are AWESOME and take control…but they are few.

Hi Fishes

I'm holding offers from Accenture and Wipro,

With A it is a generic opportunity where the work and the client would be decided after joining. But the learning opportunities would be more.

With W it was a client interview and the client is one of global leader in financial service and I really like to work with this client.

W's pay is 2-3L higher than A.

This is for Cybersecurity domain where A is comparatively better.

I'm looking to stay for long term, Please help me decide.

Can anyone please share the experience to allocate the project after joining. Experience in Java backend. Is there any tips to allocate project before joining or after joining. Thank you. @

Exp. 13.5 Yrs
Industry Segment : Supply Chain Operations and Project Management
Graduation : B.E. Civil and MBA in International Business
What can be the expected CTC in India considering my exp. and academics?
If I wish to switch to other Segment, what is the way to switch to other high paying jobs?

I've a question on what sections to put on a regular resume. I see some people are using consulting style resume for outside companies as well. Do you think it's a good idea to devide work experience by projets? Or is it better to have "projects highlights" separate from work experience.. something like: intro>functional expertise> project highlights>work experience>education?

Should I refer my SO to Google?
(Does she have a real shot?)

She's a Project Manager at a global auto parts manufacturer.
Her role is 30% technical, 70% business (meaning she has good problem solving and stakeholder mgmt skills).
5 YOE+Degree at a top engineering school in Europe
My experience at Google made her interested in joining the company, but we never really acted on it.
Could she be a good fit?
If so which areas/orgs?

(Also, are there any rules against it?)

Hi Guys,
I have been assigned to a Unbillable Project, they are building one app and have recruited people from the talent pool. The project is not registered in GLOW. And they are calling it as Voluntary Contribution type project for studio. Is this what they call Internal Project in
Globant?
Will there be any impact if I don't perform as per their expectations?
Will it be of any benefit to me if work in voluntary project? Will HR recognize this project contribution as valid work?
Globant

Junior here. How common is it to be nudged off a brief when you can't get ideas through internally? My partner and I are often put on the same briefs as more experienced (sometimes senior) teams. As a result, their work tends to make it through to the client presentation while most of ours dies somewhere along the way from CD to CCO. Is this worth worrying over?

I find myself questioning basic politeness I’ve learned since a child. Wondering what everyone else thinks. I work with an associate. She’s great. When she does good work or something I’ve asked her to do, I, of course, say “thank you!” I don’t really expect a response. She always replies “you’re welcome!” Or some variation. And for some reason, that’s awkward. Is it just me? I know in normal manners, that is the right response. Why does it sit funny?
