How can I pivot into indirect tax technology as a indirect tax advisor? Should I get some certification in using some of the tools or just find a job in that space and learn on the go?

Geoff peck program is good if you want a design birds eye view. If you want more tool oriented, the onesource program is good...

But best is to talk to your existing clients and ask them what issues they face, and then work with their third party operator to learn the game - this way you will keep your existing job and profile, and still learn on the taxtech side

Hi 👋 Nice to have this bowl here! I’m a CPA with 5 years experience in tax who recently realized that I can’t stand doing compliance anymore. Decided to get my masters in CIS and Data Analytics to pivot into tax tech originally but I am afraid I won’t use all my newly learned skills if I stick with tax technology in Big4.
