How can I pivot into indirect tax technology as a indirect tax advisor? Should I get some certification in using some of the tools or just find a job in that space and learn on the go?

What is the obsession and appeal for MBB among MBA grads? Is it really that amazing - from afar it seems like it may be romanticized (maybe not the right word) among applicants. I know it’s way better than the work I do now, so I’m not knocking MBB at all. It’s super impressive. Decided to get my masters in CIS and Data Analytics to pivot into tax tech originally but I am afraid I won’t use all my newly learned skills if I stick with tax technology in Big4. How does one try to learn Altyrx with no experience and no (current) access to it? I work at a small firm and am going crazy with so many inefficiencies in repetitive tasks occupying myself and my staffs time. I’d like to self learn and try to come up with concrete solutions to pitch to the partners but want to know what I’m talking about before I do. Any thoughts & suggestions are welcomed.

Anyone have a good XML viewer/editor that has a grid view? I’m trying to mass review and update tool names and annotations for a number of very large Alteryx workflows. I think an xml editor with a grid view will do what I need but I’m also open to other suggestions if you have them.
