I want to get my wife a nice purse that doubles as a computer bag. She walks to work and doesn’t travel. Any suggestions?

EY, OP works at BCG...
BUDGET IS NOT A CONSTRAINT. OPTIONS ARE.
/rant

OP, did you consider small backpacks? They seem to be the trend lately.

like

@ D1 - Wouldn’t that be a bad assumption? For example, OP could have lots of student loan or personal loans... or be on a budget due to the fact that he may be raising a family in an expensive neighborhood with a high mortgage?

lo and sons are comfortable and durable for travel and also look professional and stylish. I have the TT and really like the shape, she may also like the OG or OMG.

Goyard totes are all the rage (if you want to spend $1,500+)—I personally don’t like them. Mansur Gavriel (roughly $600 for a tote) is not a bad option either.

like

If you’re looking at a handbag, LV neverfull. Coach has good bigger totes too that you can get monogrammed. I personally use a coach tote, their biggest one, has multiple pockets and a zipper on the top. Holds two laptops and a bunch of other stuff.

like

Tory Burch all the way

Lo & Sons TT looks like a good option :)

No to backpack.
Let’s say Budget is $300-ish. Not looking to go all out at this point
She’s more into look than brand name

like

If that’s the case, I would go with a Coach tote. Coach is having a sale right now—would recommend the Rogue line, but you’ll have to spend a tad bit more.

What is your budget?

Budget?

Kate spade has cute stuff

My bag is from Pourchet, haven’t seen it many places around but I absolutely love it and how it looks

I have a really beautiful Phillip Lim large crossbody that I use as a computer bag. It’s very lux looking and a bit more unique, but they often have bags large enough for computers. I got mine on clearance for around $400 and I think they retail for closer to $700 but I often see them on sale. May be worth considering, I get lots of compliments.

@C1 Looks intriguing. Somehow their website doesn’t work and no US online store carries them

Oh damn that’s disappointing. Yeah I got in on vacation in France. It’s so nice if you can find a way to get one

My gf uses a larger Kate spade bag that works well

Look into Kate Spade, Tory Burch, Cuyana, and Henri Bendel

Lyft driver delayed picking me up 30 min, resulting in me canceling my ride and asking hotel to call me a “yellow taxi” to get to the airport because it was 5am and all ubers/lyfts were 15 min. Specifically said yellow. Hotel calls me a private lux SUV and the driver got out of the car to handshake the man who called and said hi (honestly money couldve been passed). I then get hit with a $180 ride. Marriott website says taxi should be $65. Should I complain or let it go?
