No offense but I always thought of change mgmnt as one of the most useless services provided. But even though chang mgmt ppl never really know what the change is and what it entails, they are good at quickly figuring out what needs to be done, as well as planning and executing workshops... sounds like a project management role would be the easiest exit.
PWC1, I can see why you think that way. sometimes change management does feel abstract, when it should be as systematic and well understood like project management. it is such an important integrated component of a transformational project but more wraparound services rather than the standalone solutions it is sometimes sold (or perceived to be).
Ignorance. Many OCM people have strong functional knowledge.
OP - Depends on your background and career lecel. OCM people have diverse backgrounds. You could find work in industry in an internal change mansgement team. OD departments within HR. If you had a technology focus then you could get a PMP and do project management. Many possibilitites, but it will take some networking and research.
