Cost savings on travel are only a small part of the reason for the regional model. The primary driver is to align our talent geographically to the needs of our clients. For example, there is little-to-no need for a financial services talent base in a city like Seattle.
Geographical alignment of talent to industry not only reduces travel, it increases the ability for our people to build strong strong relationships with our client leaders. That is an area where ACN already has an advantage (whatever our faults, this really can't be denied), so the regional model is really a way to further enhance a competitive advantage.
A5 gives the nice corporate pr answer but realistically the regional model has been tried before and failed, I don't expect a different outcome this time
Op tell us more about your sow terms please
Op, please don't say anything about SOW terms on a public platform. But, I think that is highly unusual and not representative of typical deals.
30% travel costs??? You guys are stiffing your clients pretty bad!
Honestly, I am in consulting for the travel. A regional model blows and that will be the day I am out.
Travel is usually set to 10%. If I were a client, I'd rather pay that money and have the ideal resource mix vs a less ideal one.
We usually have it right around 69% on S& SoWs.
I sure hope not
I have never seen travel be 30%.
Pdubs, let's not talk about contracts, rates or anything like that in FB, please.
OP tell us more about accentuates SOW 🤓
Are you an Accenture chatbot sent to pump up the regional model?
On my weekly transcontinental return flight currently #RegionalModel
A5 I still think the model will fail; again
Analyst on a project where hr staffing lead is trying to pull me off while client sponsor, senior manager, and md are trying to keep me on. Using the stick instead of a carrot was their mistake
@A5 not just drinking the kool Aid. chugging.
Love the regional model so far, haven't travelled the last year
3.50%
No, I deliver for clients, and I am really excited about an innovation center and a technology hub that will enable me to craft new solutions to emerging cliet issues.
The age of flying to a client site to drop off a deck is over. Consulting is changing, and ACN needs people who can apply the new now.
