I was applying for a job and it asked my salary expectations. Normally I would leave this blank or type a fake number like 0.00 but in this case it was a drop down where you had to select a range. The ranged were in 10 thousand increments. I picked one on the high end of my desired range but I feel like this is a trick question. Shoot too high they won’t interview you, shoot too low and they will lowball your offer. I also take benefits and perks into account which I wouldn’t know when applying.

I think I did a mistake , I tried applying for companies and dont get any calls, got two calls but both of them rejected even before taking an interview that they want immediate joiners , market was ok so I resigned and the hiring got freezed its been 45 days since , but I still dont have an offer dint just got two interviews till now I am trying to get referals , applying in naukri, LinkedIn getting referrals from fish bowl everyday and I am scared now hope I get atleast one offer😔😔

I work as a Business Development Manager at a sports club.. I’ve been given a couple of months “trial” in the 6 figure and above sales in which I don’t see going back to my other role on lower sales. This was a somewhat good move for me until I consider missing out on commission each month that was more than my salary. (£25k salary, over £2k per month commission)
