I was going to go for kid number two this summer, but then covid happened and I was laid off. Partner is in the film business and nothing is shooting until at least August. Thought I’d just have to postpone everything since neither of us is working and we have to do fertility treatments, but starting to think maybe should just go ahead and do it. I’m 38. I don’t think this is going to be magically better in six months. I’m probably going to be freelancing anyway, no one is hiring. Crazy?

How does contract to hire work? If I’m offered $37/hr on w2 for 3 months and then possibly a permanent position, how much can I expect to get annually as a full time company employee as a BI data analyst II? I have a M.S. and certificates in DA but this will be my first job as DA.
I prefer working for what is offered on contract without negotiating, and then negotiate when I transition into the company itself so I have a better chance of getting the contract position and show my skills.

I called the HR after getting their point of contact mail and I asked if it's possible to switch. They said I'm already tagged to a project and that they'll check from their end if it can be done.

Been having trouble moving on since girlfriend ended relationship 3 weeks ago after 2+ years of dating. Before ending it she came over 3 weeks prior to basically give me a chance to work things out and we had a good discussion but then I went back into our routine and didn’t really fight for it or have serious follow up convos that we needed.
