I was "laid off" for business reasons as my employer put it. They said contracts were being cut back and or being pushed out beyond a year. Just prior to this, the Operations Manager moved me to 3rd shift with no explanation. We've beenvery productive and had continued sales growth. The last quarter of my employment we set record sales. Months afterward they are hiring for my position, but will not give me a look.

I feel like my exit was a personal issue, not a performance one.

Assuming this causes a recession like in 2008, and many people get laid off, how long to take to find another similar paying job? I’m currently a strat manager in FS. Scared for job.

Some recruiter in Accenture lined me up for an interview for a role which was not in my skillset ( by saying that this is just an evaluation exercise and they will map me to the right role) and obviously I got rejected. Now I see that I am not eligible to apply the role which I was targeting for the next 6 months. Any idea how can I get this escalated so that the recruiter ( Accenture employee) should at least be careful in future before fooling a noob like me?

How much stock do you put on benefits? I have two offers with stark differences in benefits. Job 1: role I want, but benefit sucks (2 weeks paternity leave, 20% coinsurance). Job 2: role is okay but higher level and great benefits (16 weeks paternity, 0% coinsurance, 5 more days of vacation). Total comp is the same though. I wonder if I should just focus on role but Job 2 is a large company, so I can move around after 2-3 years I’d expect. Thoughts?

I have been selected into ZS for the BTAC role under CCM(Customer-Centric Marketing). My YOE is 3.8 in Cognizant, and the domain is ETL, DW, cloud(AWS).

My question is, ZS is giving a great package compared to what I have in Cognizant (Above 100% hike), and Cognizant is ready to retain me by giving somewhere 50%-60% hike. Will ZS be a good choice for me to switch? In terms of growth, technologies, work, pay. Or should I accept what cognizant is giving and get retained?

It’s easy to forget - especially with the younger generation having 9/11 be a history lesson rather than something they lived through. The waters became muddy with two wars and politicians, but you all stepped up and did your duty. Thank you all for your service, it’s an honor whether we crossed paths or not.
