Hi Folks,
Good Evening
Hope you all are doing well.
I am just done with the HR and Salary discussion for the Data Engineering role with Telstra .
Which location is good to join Bengaluru, Hyderabad or Pune when it comes to Data Engineering roles and opportunities in Telstra ?
Any one currently working or worked in Telstra looking forward to your valuable inputs and suggestions.

It's because there's pee in the job pool right now. Seriously. Lots of confusion from an avalanche of layoffs from companies who really didn't have to fire people, but did so because it was the fashionable thing to do. Now all the positions are jammed with an avalanche of resumes giving rise to the absolute worst attributes of humanity being put on full display in broad daylight by management who couldn't care about their employees on a good day being given an opportunity to really find out who's desperate enough to tolerate their nonsense before hiring them. Add in a heavy helping of ineptitude and incompetence for good measure.
I've been in the same boat but still working. My guess is that there are still a ton of people applying and the hiring manager is being picky or their job ads up to build up their talent pipeline
I think they also might be being extra particular with skill sets. Like exactly years of ejbs with php on oracle 21c. If you have oracle 19c you'll get rejected even though the differences are negligible.
I feel your pain and have been in sales for over 25 years. The last 15 years in tech sales. I am considered a dinosaur and it does suck! You would think our successful experience held weight in the market. Good luck to ya!
A lot of managers prefer young, dumb, and stupid so that they can motivate them easily to work themselves into the ground just like all of us experienced folks once did. Old and experienced means we know all the gags and gimmicks.
I really think so.
Welcome to the club, or should I say, I’m welcoming myself to the club? Because I was laid off in January. And I have had enough interviews to last a lifetime. Even 2nd, 3rd, 4th & 5th rounds! I have no answers to why I haven’t landed a role that I was clearly qualified for in every way. I actually stopped counting the number of 1st interviews after 18.
I applied well into the triple digits before getting a contract role and I have more than 20 years experience. It took months and was worse than every prior job change that I have gone through. I seriously hope that there's a special place in Hell reserved for the managers responsible for this nonsense because this is beyond anything to do with business at this point.
On your resume maybe leave out dates when you graduated, etc.
