I was laid off yesterday during my WP extension application process. Can a company withdraw the request provided that they applied it for me? We were expecting a decision this month and currently I’m on an implied (maintained) status. What happens when I get a refusal, do I have to immediately leave Canada?

I got offer from IBM in my home location itself, with 18.5LPA fixed for 9 yea in automation testing. Here my manger is confusing me like layoff will after u join in IBM.. but I am in cts as 11.2 only .. but now I got SA promotion with 10 % hike .. and also no retnation for me also not there whether I can choose IBM or stay here .. kindly help guys .

There is lots of companies really taking a hit in the tech space. Is this something that people are nervous about? Many seem to still be having a hiring push but with the button falling (IMO this is still just start we have a long way to go to bottom out) will that halt and layoffs ensue? And if so, which depts do you think will get hit the hardest?
