Have you ever made a career move that you didn’t really want to make bc it wasn’t the right time but you knew it would advance your career and help you financially?

I have a great opportunity to really advance professionally and financially, but if I’m being honest, I don’t want it right now. What I’m doing works for my life right now and I enjoy where I’m at. But I also feel like I’d be nuts to pass up such a great opportunity.

I have 2 offers Sr Manager and 180k (base + bonus) vs Manager 220k (base + bonus). I wanted Sr Manager title but the company offering Manager. What should I do? How will it affect my future titles?

Is it a fail of character leaving biglaw? I want to leave, but despite the constant stress and suffering, I can’t avoid feeling like it’s my fault or that maybe I’m over exaggerating how I feel. If you see an associate has really low hours for the month, do you imagine them chillen on a beach somewhere or do you consider they probably spent most of their days sitting in front of the computer being “available”? 2. Salary question: working as a partnerships/digital content project coordinator in arts & culture and want to ask for a pay rise at my annual review. But the company is strapped for resources as we are not for profit.
I am adding a lot of value by importing my networks/contacts, initiating and maintaining high profile partnerships, working cross functionally within company eg with marketing and PR teams, pitching ideas for future projects, giving face lifts to older ones… what % should I ask for?
