I went through a referral to apply at Facebook. My application got rejected but the recruiter still offered to get on call to explore opportunities. Is there any way I can prep for this?

I absolutely HATE third party recruiters. They continuously waste my time, always slice my rate in half, and have never have solidified a project for me — PLEASE GO AWAY!

Went through multi-day loop for L5 SA and felt confident in my interactions. Presentation went well with no lack of answers for follow up questions. Just found out 6 days later I will not be receiving an offer, and it is policy to not provide feedback of gaps or reasons behind no offer. Also found out they ask you not to reapply for 1 to 2 years for same role. Would anyone recommend an alternate path for feedback on interview (outside of recruiter) and is the 1-2 year policy true?

I’m 37 and I didn’t get nominated for PCEC (mckinsey partner election). Should I give it another year knowing that it generally takes 2 election cycles and I won’t be a partner until I’m 39? Do I explore exits in a recessionary economy? Or praise Christ, go to church more, and suck up my ego because I still have a shot and haven’t been CTLd? How much worse are my exit ops as an AP and how would that look with 2 years later?
