I woke up the other day feeling completely burned out. Just mentally running on absolute fumes from a month of heavy project management. I wrestled with the corporate guilt for an hour before finally logging a personal mental health day to go for a long trail run and clear my head. It was exactly what my brain needed, yet I still found myself checking my phone notifications on the trail. How do you completely detach from work responsibilities when you need a proactive wellness day?

I think you just need to detach and accept there may be repercussions to doing so, like colleagues frustrated by waiting for your response. Obviously, do some prep and let people know you will be out, ensure as best as possible no important deadlines are missed due to you being out, etc but you need to accept certain types of people will try to disrespect your time off no matter what you do

I have been trying this cold therapy not for fat loss but for my mental well-being. I usually do 30 secs on and off for 3-4 times in shower and not sure if it is placebo effect but I instantly feel really good. Andrew Huberman has several podcasts on this topic if anybody is interested.

Got the second moderna shot yesterday around 5pm est. All day, my body is in such pain, I am crying as I can’t get comfortable, and i have a fever. Took Tylenol but only helps moderately. Feels like the flu with the body pains. Grateful to get it but this feels awful rn. 37 female 🐠
