Newbie to investing and never invested in a company that went through a reverse stock split.
In theory, I understand the market value should increase but I’m not seeing this reflected in the price and naturally my book value/ share is very disappointing.
A) When should I anticipate the stock appreciation to occur?
B) What’s the next move for companies that do this? Issue more shares?
TIA!

Is your goal to switch to PI? If so, find a big firm (I’m east coast so there are plenty here but I’m not familiar with your area). The big firms are pretty much always looking for people as there can be a lot of turn over. If you have minimal PI exp, you’re better off doing presuit, learning the ropes there, and then transfer to lit if that is what your end goal is. In my exp, the presuit paralegals handled essentially everything until the client got their settlement/docs paid, the case was transferred to lit, or the case was turned down. You need to understand the auto insurance in your state, such as BI, UM, PIP, Med Pay. You need to have basic knowledge of reading medical notes (what’s relevant and irrelevant) so, example, you need to be able to look at an MRI report and spot what is considered a chronic finding vs acute, finding. Part of the job is managing client expectations, staying on top of their treatment and bills, and ensuring your case doesn’t go upside down. You’ll be writing tons of demands. It took a while to really understand what I was doing and to “get good” at it. Clients can be tough in PI, so it really helps when you work for a great attorney.
I had only criminal experience but ignored the job listing requirements in terms of requiring civil and applied to places anyway, so long as I had overall same years of experience. Was able to find a job with a place that was excited I had good trial experience and could write. Draft a good cover letter and try anyway — you may find a place willing to take a chance on you!
