I worked my butt off to make this deadline, and my boss's only feedback was "Good, next." Feeling underappreciated... is there an elegant way to ask for some actual recognition?

Not sure if this is the right place, but in a privately owned business located in a right to work state, is verbal abuse allowed and would swearing at and putting down an employee in front of a bunch of other employees and in front of customers be deemed verbal abuse? Can owners demand you work a certain amount of hours a week if it’s 100% commission?

Can’t tell if I’m developing crushes on my coworkers only because they’re the only people I interact with (on zoom) in quarantine 😬

How do you deal with a manager / junior partner who is always nitpicking and questioning why you did what you did, or telling you what you did is the wrong way to do things? It’s generally prefaced with them only doing this to help you grow, but has the exact opposite effect on me. And then when you try to explain your POV, you’re tagged as being defensive. Generally ends me with saying I’m sorry. No other partners at the firm have ever raised any concerns on my communications or work product.

I'm feeling a lot of anger towards my manager (now he's acting normal but there were moments where he was condescending/dismissive/mocked my and others work/arrogant/said stuff was "wrong" constantly/belittling the difficulty of tasks etc. in the past project).
Maybe it is "standard chewing out" but it bothered me a lot. So much that I find myself still getting all fired up inside thinking about it...
Idk how to let go of this :/ Thoughts?

I could use some advice on this situation. I’ve been working for a small family owned business in Toronto Canada for about 4months. I’ve noticed a lot of unprofessional behaviour since I’ve started (yelling at workers infront of customers) I’ve bounced around different positions so much that the owner blames 98% of stuff on me when something isn’t done, even if it’s not my responsibility anymore.A week ago I asked for an employment contract to get this straight but nothing yet. What do I do?

So embarrassed. I literally had one job to do today which was to schedule a client and give and take her paperwork when she came in. Totally called her by the wrong name today AND gave her the wrong paperwork. She was really nice about it but I feel like my boss was disappointed and I'm disappointed in myself. I don't want her to think I won't be able to keep clients straight when I start doing supervised sessions.

I’ve been working for a small investment firm for about a year and am having some issues with my boss. We have a weekly check-in but he’s ALWAYS 2-3 hours late, or skips the meeting altogether without warning. He also never replies to any of the emails I send.
