Who’s working out Monday morning? 😤😤😤
Feeling grateful today. 🥺
The new company I’m at now sent me an email from an email address that was HR@companyName.careers saying I was accepted for the position. They gave me paperwork to fill out and sign to accept the position
I fill out the paperwork and send it back to them and it goes through… then a few days later I go back to the email to say something else and I get this…?
Then today I got a check from the company In the mail to setup my home office, and it’s signed by someone I’ve never met before or heard of…?
What…..

Just own it! Also I think it just comes with time. It took me about 2 years to be fully confident in my current role. Pretty soon everyone comes to you when you’re reliable and know what you’re talking about and able to communicate it effectively.
I listened to a lot of podcasts about this. I had a full realization that these men are absolutely not more competent than me even if their more senior title might lead you to think so. It might also depend a lot on if your male leaders or peers are in your corner and give you space to speak and support your work.
There’s a lot of inner work that you can do - either via a coach, reading books, listening to podcasts - to build the confidence. But one tactical approach is to go to work each day with the goal of saying one high impact thing by writing it down and memorizing it beforehand. It can be totally rehearsed and it will feel forced at first. And then overtime you’ll stop needing to rehearse it and it will come more naturally.
