Backstory: I majored in SCM at university and got my designations too. With 15 years of work experience in SCM (specifically Sourcing, and advisory consulting started recently at Big4) I’m tempted to pivot into technology but worry that it might “waste” all those years spent in SCM.

I am an IT Professional with 15 + years of experience of which 12 years in mainframe programming across various domains insurance, banking, telecom etc currently working as a senior Technichal Business Analyst for Lending completed the Pspo1 certificate recently. Experienced with both Agile and water fall model well versed in scrum master and PO roles Would it be a nice idea to switch as a product owner .

A couple months into consulting and realizing I hate it and have no passion for it whatsoever. Is it crazy that I’m thinking to give up this job and completely switch into recruiting for tech? Any consultants who’ve made the switch willing to connect?

I graduated with my BA last year. I worked for a law firm as a paralegal, but i am thinking about going back to school for a MA in accounting to switch into the accounting field. Any thoughts on if a masters is a good way to get into accounting? It would also get me the credits i need to qualify for CPA exam.

So I finished my 3rd interview with a company and the TA specialist said they loved me but can’t meet me at my bottom line salary, however, I said I can negotiate and she said she’s going to speak with the decision makers and see if they’re okay with that. My preference would go out to a supply chain consulting role which is more analytically challenging. Do you have any advice on how to make the transition (e.g. firms which would help me transition or courses to upskill myself before applying)?
