A couple months into consulting and realizing I hate it and have no passion for it whatsoever. Is it crazy that I’m thinking to give up this job and completely switch into recruiting for tech? Any consultants who’ve made the switch willing to connect?

I heard in another thread that MBB will counsel you out if you get sick enough to miss 6-8 weeks. Nuts, reevaluating my post mba goals (might still do it for a year).

Ok NOW I can finally say I passed all four parts of the CPA exam. I can’t even begin to tell you all how hard of a journey this has been for me and how much sleep I’ve lost throughout these past few months. It was all worth it though. I see people are announcing they passed on LinkedIn so just practicing again until I finally do.

I have a potential offer to join a mid firm in a city where they’ve only been around for a few years, so there aren’t a lot of employees, maybe 25. I really like city and the people, but curious, would joining at this stage lead to faster promotion to MD/Partner? Or even manager or senior manager? It seems like there has been a lot of growth even with Covid.

For startup founders/people with a successful side project: How did you get the idea/inspiration for your business? I’m currently working at a Series B startup and my end goal has always been to found my own startup, but I graduated from college 2.5 years ago and I still have not had any great ideas cross my mind. I do spend a fair amount of time brainstorming. I don’t want to continue working here forever, but I’m struggling to generate that “this is it” idea to build a company for. Any advice?

Hi, I am a senior interior designer currently working in India with 5.5 yrs. of experience, recently started working as a sales and design head, where I take care of sales and conversion and meanwhile also look into the proper design process and output.
I am willing to move abroad for a couple of years but I don't have any idea, like how should I start hunting for a job or like what should be my next move for it.
I'll be really grateful if someone can help me out with this.

Question! I just moved(transferred) to another team of my company and received new title, graphic & creative services. I was a senior graphic designer at the previous team. What do you think about my new title? I know that title is not a big thing but why I feel like my title is downgraded here… Good thing is my jobs here at my current team are what I really wanted to do. This is amazing. I love my new team and people here! Super healthy working environment! But just curious about the title.

I've become really jaded about consulting. I find all so often you need to tell the client what they want to hear to keep their business and I feel like so much of the what I recommend doesn't actually get implemented. I've been exploring exit opportunities for a few months and still holding out for the right opportunity. However, I've had A LOT of recruiters reach out to me for positions that are way below my current salary. They do the whole "your background and expertise is exactly what we're looking for" then turn around and offer a salary range that is 20k below my current level. My resume clearly says I've got 10yrs experience and an MBA. I **don't think* I should be getting offers of 80k-100k
