My post is for a lot of folks here who complain about managers not budging to negotiations and not offering package ,what you are expecting.I have one thing to say,there are lot of ibm employees who moved to kyndryl. Inspite of lot of contributions they are earning meagre salary.Now do you expect these people to hire you for more package most of time the package you are demanding is more than what these managers draw. So pls do not look at kyndryl as any other startup.Thanks.

Not necessarily. Good companies will have other opportunities/projects for their employees to jump onto. Of course they have to tell you that the project is ending, but there’s no requirement to “give notice” in the sense of a layoff or RIF.
Small consulting groups may layoff people or move them to another contract. Other larger companies have a Bench where the individual can interview and receive pay while they look at other contracts the company has.
Many contractors jump to the winning company if their loyalty is to the contract/client and not the company. Current contractors will probably get calls from the recruiters soon.
