Hey! Any Google folks know if it’s possible to negotiate fully remote if a contract role is hybrid? Personally, I don’t want to relocate and go to the office on a contract role given the current economy. Plus, I’m assuming contractors are the first to go in layoffs. I just think it’s a fair trade off if I’d be allowed to work fully remote. I’m also trying to have flexibility to manage my Airbnb business in a different country. Same time zone as the home office if I’d travel weeks at a time.

Why don’t you just quit, you still get your vacation paid out. Unused holidays don’t ever get paid out.
The most stupid question ever.
PwC 3 is correct. Why do you want to get fired?
Just find a new job and quit...
Just stop showing up and responding to emails? Thoughts on this strategy?
If he doesn’t get fired he can’t get unemployment
I'd be afraid of the long-term effect of all the actions you took in an attempt to get fired. Could hurt your reputation in your future jobs
Yeah I think so. How are you going to try and get fired tho?
Just quit... why u want to get fired and burn all bridges smh
And they will keep paying while he is unresponsive which could be a few days or weeks
Lol — just look at you... years ago you were dieing to get a job. Now, you’re dieing to get fired 🤣.
You will forfeit unused holidays, but legally required to pay out PTO (vacation)
I’m assuming they’d put you on a PIP before you get fired no?
