I'm looking to find a job like the Forward Deployed Engineer role Palantir Technologies in the UK.
I have become hooked on finding a job that involves solving the kinds of problems they presented during their interviews. Although I got to the final round my performance anxiety got the better of me (I think I wanted the job a bit too much...). I will reapply after working in a similar company.
Is it "deep tech" / "data science" or "smart enterprise" that they're doing? Any advice welcome.
Hi all, recently in touch by Spotify recruiter for a Sec Engineer position for remote EU and was told that range was 60-80 out of base salary and equity. Had 2 years of security experience out of my 4 years. Was also told that there is no bonus scheme or no sign in bonus 😕 Not sure how I feel about this tbh.
What do you think?

It depends on terms in your contract. Sometimes terms in cotract allows you to work from anywhere, or within the same time zone, or +-3 hours time zone difference.
Also terms can restrict you in which country you allow to be working remotly.
Typically you will have to work from the address mentioned on your W2 form.
Just remember they pull taxes out by you w2 address: California will take 15.3% for state taxes Alaska, Florida, Nevada, South Dakota Tennesse, Texas, Washington does not tax earned wages. Out of country no wages taxed. You may still be required to file federal taxes.
If you look up AB5 you will see California recently passed a law requiring collecting taxes for contractors. What that form will be called I don't know. But under this law they would be treated like a "w2". States want that "income tax". And if you live or work in a state that will be enforcing this new law then those funds will be withheld.
Most likely! As long as you have a home base where you will file for taxes it's fine. Who's going to know anyway??
Well if you can’t access work systems because the VPN blocks international traffic then people will know.
Depends on taxes and potentially where the company is licensed to operate.
