I have received offer from Wipro which is little above than the offer that I am holding but fixed pay is less. Thinking of rejecting Wipro offer. Is it better to reject or accept and then not join. Also if I reject, will there be any issue like they won't consider me in future?Tata Consultancy Wipro Cognizant Infosys

No, it would be illegal to continue to collect unemployment if you have a job but not severance. What you are talking about is the dream scenario. Severance while already having something lined up.
No???
Why would it be?
No, take that money 🤑
Which company gives 3 months severance. That’s my dream! Congrats.
Absolutely not! You just won the lottery
No.
I would suspect not illegal since this could always happen (covid-19 or not).
I think it actually is. I sat in unemployment training, and they mentioned that if you are caught with an offer and collecting unemployment, you get fined.
I once was laid off and needed to collect unemployment; they give unemployment benefits for people who have not received an offer or have a job. So if you have an offer, you still have a job even though you’re not working atm. If you hadn’t received your offer after you were laid off, you would be eligible.
Ugh I misread OP’s post. Was multi-tasking lol y’all right
Dope, thanks everyone!!!!
