Did anyone get a GSB interview this week?
Hi I’m a current Graduate student, hoping to get my foot in the door for Deloitte Healthcare Consulting, Accenture CDP, or EY specifically within Chicago Offices. Is there anyone open to connecting and speaking on their experience being hired? I have previous experience working prior to my degree so hoping to get insight on how I can best score an interview. If you’re also open to providing a referral that would be a bonus!

Capgemini I gave Capgemini and got selected. HR discussion happened and we decided on 10.5 LPA. Offer came of 9 lpa. Called HR to revise offer as per our discussion, sent counter offer as well. HR has been delaying since last 2 weeks saying it’s still in approval. She is still not saying that business isn’t approving. Should I consider my offer to be gone?

If you’re white like me it’s so important to realize that we were raised in a society where institutionalized racism is normalized, and we were born with privilege. You can’t choose the color of your skin, but you can choose to put ego aside and reflect on why this isn’t happening to me, and be vocal about being anti-racist.

I would start now or in a few weeks. It took me a couple of months to find a job I like that met my requirements and expectations.
Good call. I have a few connections I can pursue, but I was a little worried that things would start moving too fast. Sounds like it normally takes a couple months regardless!
start now. it’s at least a 10-12 week process.
Start now. can you take a trip before July to meet some places live? I just went through this, it took about 3 months to find an agency I wanted to work at.
Smart idea. I’ve got a couple trips planned down there over the next couple months so hoping I can squeeze in at least an informational interview or coffee meet up with some potentials!
a couple of thoughts - expect that it won’t play out ideally and you might be pleasantly surprised.
two - much easier to defer a start date than move one up and most employers [especially with a move] will be empathetic.
and three - the job market is stronger now than it’s been in a while [my recruiters tell me] and it tends to slow in the summer.
This is reassuring stuff. Thanks for the insight!
Sure. Send me your stuff
DM!
I’d also add - you have far bigger concerns than arriving a few weeks before your partner.
Well, the timing is strategic too because my current lease (in a different state) is up late June, and we’ve got very little savings to keep us comfortable in between. I’m also hoping to be able to visit my parents before the start date 🤞All factors at play!
