Hi fishes! The hiring manager has asked me for salary expectations of B6 Data Analyst and my experience is 3.5 yrs with a CTC of 6.65. Considering I have to move to Bangalore l'm thinking of asking 13 or 14.. is it a big ask? If so, what do you think is a good ask? Please help. Thanks in advance :)

Don’t make a decision solely in the bubble of getting an mba.
I was thinking about the same thing until I realized that I need an opportunity for a better career trajectory. My undergrad college was okay but I wasted lots of opportunities. Now I want to use MBA to pivot towards a more desirable future.

Agree with EY. Without knowing anything else, the bank seems like better experience to me. Good deal flow is likely to turn into good experience, and in my experience, it’s a lot easier to get stretch experiences at a small firm. I don’t think Capgemini, for example, is really that great of work experience though experiences will likely vary a lot
Thank you for your advice. I think your point makes sense. Ad com probably don’t care about who the client is - might be multi billion global firm if I work in MC, might be series-B company if I work in boutique IB.
IB experience will look better than T3 Consulting experience to AdCom if you’re solely making a choice based on MBA
Disagree. There’s a ton of tiny no name boutique IBs. Even T3 consulting probably has better exit ops. I’d suggest OP do consulting for 2 years and exit to a strategy type role at a more well known company before applying.
Agree with the answer above. If you’re more excited about consulting and enjoyed the teams you met, take the consulting offer. If you didn’t, take IB. Think about what skills and experiences you’ll gain rather than name brand.

Whatever gets you solid strategy consulting experience. I would look for boutique strategy firms that deal with growth strategy.
If you’re working towards an MBA as your next goal and will make a decision solely based on that, think about which experience will give you more leadership fodder for resume, essays, and interviews.
