If you are a couple with no kids, how do you go about finding friends in the area? I struggle so much :( most of my close friends are now scattered across the country and I feel like we have no one close to us anymore. I don’t even know how we’d go about making new friends anymore!

My husband quit his very well-paying job in February to become a freelancer. I was fully supportive of this move because he was miserable at his job. He is hustling and trying to find work but it is slow. We are depleting our savings and I am stressed about our financial health and feel like retirement is getting pushed further out. I am struggling not to feel resentful. I don’t want to push him back into a career he hates but also feel like part of being an adult is making hard decisions.

I am so deeply unhappy and anxious about my job. I switched firms within the last year and it’s somehow worse here. For example, I recently spent about an hour setting up rules in Outlook to auto-filter junk emails and non-urgent emails (client alerts, data room notifications, bar association emails, etc.) into a separate folder that I can check a couple times a day.
