Hey guys. I have been applying to Amex for the past 1 year. Tried applying on the portal, through referrals and even hr consultants reached me regarding the roles since I have a relevant profile. But not once have I been shortlisted or called for an interview. What could be the problem?
PS: I have gotten calls from every other company for the same profile but not amex. Can't be a problem with the profile. Seems something dicey which I'm not aware of.American Express

Hi Guys,
I have been assigned to a Unbillable Project, they are building one app and have recruited people from the talent pool. The project is not registered in GLOW. And they are calling it as Voluntary Contribution type project for studio. Is this what they call Internal Project in Globant?
Will there be any impact if I don't perform as per their expectations?
Will it be of any benefit to me if work in voluntary project? Will HR recognize this project contribution as valid work?

Got a random email from a supposed Amazon recruiter for a SDE position (which is not at all a fit). The email is amazon.com domain and there are no red flags in the body but it doesn't feel like an Amazon recruiter due to the tacky signature, etc. Has anyone seen this kind of cold-calling from FAANG recruiter?

Yes, and they can also sell it to the highest (and lowest) bidders, aka any employer
Just because you're asking means you have something to hide.
They will only check your social media activity on Google+
Actually as a slight correction, google can grab it directly, employers can now grab it via the requests you make through your network ISP, by buying the data from them
Which should remind you: sign up for Google+
If they do and it's a reason they reject you, would you really want to work for them? If you were really qualified just subsequently apply to Apple or something
Nice!!
What position are you interviewing for OP?
No. As long as they are ethical. There are information security and privacy guidelines in place.
It's like applying for google and providing a hotmail account for your email 😂😂😂😂
I'm not interviewing and I don't really have anything to hide (I mean googling hangover remedies - BFD). I was just curious. I'm sure certain people within the organization can, but not recruiters or anything.
They might be physically able to, if they don't have internal controls that prevent that kind of privacy infraction, but if they did, you'd win a lawsuit for the violation of your consumer rights
