Go after the one you called amazing.
I would do my due diligence on the Agency and Client before you make the decision. Agency's don't usually give 'amazing offers' to work on an 'amazing businesses'. Those are filled internally and they use external candidates for the tougher roles to fill within the agency.
This is wise counsel. Indeed, truly incredible positions are often filled internally. Please, d your due diligence to make sure this isn’t “combat pay.” It happens all the time.
It’s more of a life question in my mind. Do you want to move and meet new people, have an adventure etc or are you very content being in a small market with a well established friends/family? Answer that personal aspect first then look to the offer. If you want to move that big market probably has a few agencies to consider
You’ll always want the one you don’t have. I left the best job and all my friends in a smaller market for an incredible opportunity in a larger market. Only wish I’d done it sooner, but still miss my friends every day and daydream about life back home.
The piece of info i am missing is how many years of experience you have? If you have been at this smaller shop for years and feel you have learned everything there is then getting out of your comfort zone is long overdue. If you are just starting out, perhaps this smaller shop where people care and respect you as a person and professional is the ideal place to learn, make mistakes and push yourself within that kinder environment. If you feel there is nothing new to learn where you are at then as other have said get out and take the risk. I learned the most during my tenure at a shop were people were not that friendly and I was more on my own. It was a tough time but looking back it has helped shape me into who I am today.
I think we need more details, but if the amazing offer includes much more money (especially given cost of living changes going from a small market to a large one) then yes. Yes I would.
Leave on great terms so you can always boomerang back later in career. Take the chance!
