Gusto I’m a product designer hoping to switch industries from the public sector to private. I am struggling because I’m starting to see a lot of pushback on the fact that I don’t have industry specific work. So I’m really curious how much working in a specific industry effects your career path.
I’m looking at some fintech jobs but ultimately want to work in hrtech? Like gusto, lattice, etc. would that potentially prevent that switch?

Anyone have any leads in Dallas for SAE roles?
This week chewed me up and spit me out.
Wear what you normally wear to work, but dress it up a bit more. Nicer shoes, nicer shirt, the fancy jeans, etc.
Suit. No tie if male.
I’ve got a wide-leg black jumpsuit that I pair with wedge booties — it’s professional, but not too conservative and TOO casual. Plus I’m comfortable. Make sure you’re comfortable and best of luck!!
A long dress or midi skirt would also work. If the company is known for being creative, you could also wear something colorful (I did for my interview with my current company)
If it's west coast go with dark, skinny jeans, blazer, boots or casual dress/boot combo.
Black jeans, booties, blouse and casual looking blazer
Black sheath dress with ankle boots is my go to. Alternatively, if this co is really, really casual, blouse and black jeans.
M or f? If m, wear button up at least

I’m early 30s so probably more old school, but I wouldn’t wear jeans to an interview. Black midi shift dress with black boots is my go to. Blazer and pencil skirt when I’m feeling fancier.
Suit, no tie. Pocket square to dress it up.
Velvet sweatsuit.
Hot dog suit.
