Yes, I do. I’m also pretty upfront about my situation. I was fine with my previous spot. Great WLB and great pay. Social impact led but the output was meh. A few top notch agencies and I started talking casually and it led to me changing jobs.
I find it interesting to take a reading on my market value. If the offer is lucrative enough you can put it on the table and better your current position.
I give the recruiter the option. Explain the situation (being happy in the current role) and let them decide if they’d like to meet. I’m open about not wanting to waste their time but I always reply to keep the relationship positive if I ever need it!
This is 100% the right answer. As long as people are up front with me and it’s someone I want to create a relationship with, I’ll still have the call to build rapport for future things.
There is also value in keeping your interviewing skills sharp. Cuz if this recession with hundreds of open jobs turns into a depression with layoffs, you may need them.
Tacking onto this question to ask- if you get an offer, but want to stay where you are, how do you leverage that offer for a raise without burning a bridge or putting a target on your back?
To clarify, that previous experience was at an old agency, and it has made me hesitant to ever leverage an offer again. This perspective is helpful and reassuring.
That’s how I found out I was underpaid lol

If the position is really interesting [client, growth, promotion] - I will.
Only if I find the position could *potentially* be something I'd accept for the right offer. Otherwise, it's a waste of time for everyone.
I should. But when I’m overworked and too busy to respond is when I’m most interested in responding.
When things are fun and smooth and I have the headspace and time to respond, I’m not that interested. 🤷🏻♂️
