You maybe have already thought about this but if I was in that sitch I would try to frame the convo around it being informative in the sense of realistic and feasible ways (that would have minimal to no impact on anyone else) to allow for accommodations or flexibilities that would best set you up for success based on your specific struggles from your mental health circumstance/disability. If you’re going to ask for those I’d also be prepared to provide a doctors note requesting accommodations OR have already looked into the formal accommodations request process for your company, if they have one.
Following because i want to do the same but also afraid it might go against me
Question for all of you:
Why are you talking to your manager about your ADHD?
Understand your why - that will help you understand how to have the conversation and how to get it go where you want it to go
What are you hoping to get out of this? Before you say accommodations; which ones?
