II am enduring targeted harassment and active sabotage by a department head at my Ontario workplace. Despite reporting this to management, the situation has worsened into a pattern of scapegoating and intentional professional undermining. I am mentally depleted and feel trapped in a "set-up-to-fail" dynamic; however, since I cannot resign, and mostly wont be able to formally document this toxic environment. Any guidance on how to safeguard my legal rights under provincial labor regulations.

Targeting a particular employee by providing them with excessive and unjustified criticism, impossible goals and deadlines, or sabotaging the employee’s work. Such behavior is conducted in bad faith and is another form of bullying.

It is the employer’s responsibility to address and prevent conduct that has created a hostile work environment. An employee faced with a hostile work environment should report any harassing behavior to a superior. Once the employer is made aware of the allegations of harassment, there is an obligation on the employer to investigate and resolve the situation.

If an employee is subjected to behavior that is in violation of the Ontario Human Rights Code, the employer may be faced with a human rights claim if they allow the hostile work environment to continue or develop. Employers should take allegations of a hostile work environments seriously, and also be pro-active in fostering a safe and healthy work environment.

I had this happen because I finally had enough of work place humiliation, and constant micro management with endless hours of work intentionally created so I stepped down but made a comment to get away from the constant harassment and demeaning treatment from previous supervisor. I kept thinking is this me but I have always been an excellent performer and they told my work ethic was incredible and within a week telling my new supervisor, I was let go. I have never been let go in over 32 years. I was so humiliated and it has ruined my confidence despite my work ethic. I feel so beat down and I worked so hard and gave my teams 110%. Go to HR, don't do what I did. They have two people doing my job now, I was just a salary they needed I saw it coming but trusted when I should not. Still looking for a job and now I feel like I have no value and my job has always been so important to me. Or look for a new job now but it's so tough right now.

I am an experienced hire. My case might just take you by surprise. I joined EY GDS 10 months back at 40% hike (leaving PwC) and now Deloitte (DIJV) is offering me 2 level up designation at Manager level with another 40% hike. This has effectively doubled my salary in the last one year bt still I am confused to switch or not considering the amazing bonuses GDS payed off today. Please suggest.

SVP vs VP in banking.

I'm currently looking at two HRBP roles at two different titles/salary bands. This would at a large banking company located in NYC. Can anyone with banking industry experience share their perspectives and insights on the differentiation between the roles? I take it that VP is more of a junior role and a more commonly-used title. I have a friend that's a VP at JPM and has about the same YOE as me (shes not in HR). I have about 15 YOE but about 10 yrs HR YOE and 3 HRBP YOE.
