I’m 14 weeks pregnant and got laid off because of USAID’s implosion a few weeks ago. I NEED a job, like everyone, but the longer it takes to hear back on applications the more I’m showing. I have an interview next week and I think I can still sort of hide it, but when do I tell my potential employer? I hate the idea of springing it on them after a hire, but I also can’t afford to not get a job because I’ll essentially be there for 5 months before I need a bunch of time off. Terrible timing.

If I take 4 weeks off to travel (I have the PTO), is that frowned upon?

Do people who take parental leave multiple times as associates get pushed pack on their track to partnership? For example, at a firm with a 8 year track, would a person who took two leaves of six months each have to wait 9 years to make partner?

Hello! Looking for some guidance. I will soon be leaving Verizon after 15 years with them (6 years HR experience, 3 years Operations, 6 years leadership).
