I'm 28 (F) and currently doing my undergrad in Economics and Finance while also working full-time in wealth management, which means it's a bit hard for me to get an internship. I want to get into IB and would like to start networking with professionals who work in IB through LinkedIn, but I'm unsure how to do so. I don't need a referral now, perhaps in two years or so, but right now, I want to start building a professional relationship with people who work in my desired field. Any advice?

Is it worth it to go back to school for a better track to a FAANG company? The division I’m currently in seems like there are no good opportunities, and I have the funds available to finish my undergraduate full time (Canada). I applied to Amazon before for a highly senior position and made it to final interview so I think I would have a better chance for a new grad type role.

Sr. Digital Media Specialist here. Been with my agency for exactly 2 years now. I recently received a major elevation in responsibility, but the company “cannot afford to promote me at this time.” Basically I’m expected to operate as a manager without the title or compensation.

Just began studying for the CFE exam. I have access to past editions of the ACFE Fraud Examiners Manual. Does anyone have recommendations on where to get good practice questions? I’d like to avoid spending a fortune on the ACFE kit.

I have had a couple of interviews with good startup product companies where the main issue is my 90 days of notice period. Most startups simply run away at the mention of 90 days NP.

Interesting all the noise about these PPT, my take:

The pandemic took all the upside of an IB analyst life (client meetings in person, fancy trips, suit up, worshiped at networking events) and left all the juniors with the downside (long hours, monkey-like type of job, aggressive work environment).

Not that the complaints are not sort of legitimate but you may need to revise the decision-making process that led you to accept a return offer. Specially if you were looking for less hours.
