I’m 40M and married for 12yrs. Despite being a career consultant (on the road a lot), my wife and I have always had good chemistry & a decent sex life. In the last year however I’ve noticed that we’re not intimate any more and even when we are, I’m somehow not really aroused. I’m still attracted to her but feel like I’ve lost my drive. I have been under a lot of work stress, so not sure if that’s related. Is it time to seek medical help, or is this normal. Anyone deal with this? Any advice?

My drive definitely tapered off in my 40s and stress definitely can impact your mood. Not saying it’s normal but you should probably go to doctors and get your testosterone levels checked.

I’m a couple years older and yep, it tapers off. Age + fitness. Being tired is a bigger drag on libido.

I‘m mid-30s and had that issue a while ago, stress was really hitting hard so I changed my life a bit. Agreed to go to your primary care provider and/or therapy

helpful

Definitely get your testosterone levels checked. That is about the time your levels will start dropping, and taking a testosterone supplement is easy and will delay the problem.

Mine does.

Viagra

😂i thgt about it! Not sure if that’s just treating the symptoms. The lack of drive is what I’m feeling is bothering me more…

I got out of my water drinking habit and finding it hard to build back up to 100oz + per day. I don’t like the fact I’ve added in drinks with fake sweeteners to get more fluid intake. What do you all drink to supplement water that is better than some artificially flavored and/or colored beverage? I feel nothing exists and I just need to get back to my water habit. Maybe any good water bottles that help you drink more?

It’s been 3 years since I (27F) moved to Seattle and still don’t have a solid social circle. Not necessarily a big group… I’m talking 3-4 friends who are easy going and not flakey/ hard to make plans with.

Idk if it’s due to Covid, Seattle freeze, a combination of the two or other factors. Any transplants out there who are NOT the outdoorsy type and feel the same? And if so, how did you get past it?

My SO adds very little to our relationship. She has a dead end job. I cook. I work. I oversee finances. I plan trips. She doesn’t have a voice in the relationship. I’ve asked her to give her perspective but she always defaults to mine bc she thinks I’m smarter/worldly. She feels intimated by me and my social circle. Lately, I’ve found myself thinking for her. Anticipating her wants and needs and then adjusting my behavior to meet them. Which she appreciates but it’s frustrating 29M 27F

Any advice as to how to help my other-half (who has bouts of anxiety and depression) apply to jobs? He’s going through a particularly rough patch at the moment. We had a big chat the other day which was great! However, even if we agreed that I’m doing everything I can for him (his words) it has to come from him (which we both agreed). He’s having a real mental block (I think with writing cover letters mostly) he describes staring at the screen feeling incapable. Any suggestions?

I literally cannot stomach to be around my in laws any longer. If you notice that a junior associate on your team has over-billed, how would you handle it? I don’t want to get them in trouble, but noticed that they billed extremely high numbers even though I was doing all they work on the deal and they completely disappeared other than for client conference calls. Certain things that they billed for on the final invoice, I alone handled and never asked them to do. Appreciate any advice. I’m a mid-level in case it helps for context.
