I’m a data scientist who’s considering making the pivot to finance - either as a quant (do a masters in FE) or do an MBA (and then IB/PE OR AM/HF). However, I’m not sure which path to pick. I’ve heard that quant roles are hyper-specialized and getting diluted. And, I’ve heard that non-technical roles post-MBA (while paying a lot) can get boring/monotonous. How do I go about thinking about this?

What are the different software programs I will need to know if I want to work in advertising/graphic design? Also, is there a way to learn them for free or cheap?

It’s hard to be motivated when rounds of layoffs happen and you see all your friends leave. But one thing that’s gotten me through all of this is working out.
