Hi everyone, I have 2 years of experience in a service based industry as a Java developer, and I am eager to work hard and switch to a reputed product based organisation, but I am not getting proper time to study and practice data structures and algorithms, as I have so much to learn and understand things which are related to my project. Any suggestions would be appreciated and I'll try to inculcate it. Thanks in advance! Amazon Oracle Samsung Microsoft Cisco Salesforce Arcesium Uber

Glassdoor is a great resource, but there are other ways to gather research too. Google is a great source, so is fishbowl because you can get honest answers. Doesn't hurt to talk to people in similar positions and ask what their compensation is, as well as checking averages for your state. Good luck.
Thank you!
That's one way to go, sure, but you also have to take into account the state that you live in to get more information. For example, New York state has laws that require employers to be transparent about salary bands so you can easily find out the max pay you can request from the job description. Easy. Now, say you live in a state that doesn't have any laws about this, which is most of them. In that case, you can find a similar job in another state that does have transparency laws from a city that has similar cost of living to yours and use that as a reference. Does that make sense? I know it sounds a bit convoluted, but that's the kind of length you have to go to to make sure you're not getting lowballed. Also, always ask for a little more than you're okay with getting paid, cause you'll more than likely get a counter offer.
Oh yeah that’s true. Thanks!
Check Glassdoor, levels dot FYI as well, comparably, there’s a few sites with salary data. Also never say a number first when talking to a recruiter
