I'm a PharmD student graduating May 2023, and I was wondering how early I can start applying for LS firms, like Clearview/ZS/Iqvia/LEK. I want to apply earlier to give myself more time in case I don't get any offers, but I also don't want to apply too early. Thank you for the advice!

How do referrals work?
If I get a referral from someone and I apply, then can I still reach out to a recruiter on LinkedIn expressing interest in the role? And do I let them know that I already applied? I’m sure they get tons of messages so I want to write something that won’t be overlooked. Any advice is appreciated:)

Hello, I recently was reached out to by an in-house recruiter at a similar but slightly different company than the one I currently work for. The recruiter provided a base range and an OTE range. The lower end of that range is what I am currently making. The higher end of that range is almost 200k more than my current comp. The role is almost identical.
