Layoffs at Walmart corporate 😬😬
Got laid off today at deloitte. Is anyone hiring
Does anyone here work for Silicon Valley Bank? They recently acquired Boston Private. I’m a candidate for a job at Boston Private. Wondering if SVB is planning layoffs in the near term at BP? Also, does anyone know the anticipated benefits to be rolled out from SVB as the parent company? Specifically interested in health insurance providers. Thanks in advance for any information! I spent a lot of time feeling exactly that way. I was laid off a while back, too, and I remember hesitating to tell recruiters... it felt like admitting failure, even though it wasn’t my fault. But here’s the truth I’ve learned that being laid off says nothing about your talent or worth. It says everything about the company’s situation. And honestly, most recruiters get it. Layoffs have become so common across industries that it’s no longer a red flag. If anything, it gives context for why you’re on the market and can actually make your outreach feel more authentic
I don't think you should be ashamed at all. Lay offs usually reflect the company and recruiters will be more than happy to help you. Definitely keep reaching out!
Being transparent now can save you a lot of time later. Everybody is getting laid off, it is unfortunately not uncommon, so not as big of a deal as you probably think it is. Recruiter can also help you frame it positively based on the company and hopefully get into a job.
