i’m always scared i’m going to be fired. i’ve had a bad internship experience and tho this is a new job i think some feelings carried over.

i def complete all my assigned work, ask for me, and seem to be receiving neutral to positive feedback. nothing negative so far. what’s the premise of being fired? how do is get over this fear? i’m 3 months into this job

Most staff/sr assoc would make 80% of salary for the next 4 months if fired & yet firms are considering pay cuts.

At this point in the game it doesn't make a difference where you at everybody is getting laid off at one point or another the only thing I say is try to repair yourself for it if it happens to you

I made a couple errors at a new job. An important document to be distributed had wrong information on it, which was proofread by 2 other people. Then a couple of typos in emails, the person micromanaging me told me to send out but I didn’t fix the errors. Failed to meet a deadline but completed 95%. I was written up over all this last week, fired this week. There’s a lot more to this but I think it’s because the DM doesn’t like me.

Do you consider it ethical that his career counselor is intentially spreading the information to his colleagues and to other consultants from other companies in the project? What can he do about it? Specially that he considers the potential layoff is purely based on the current situation (chargeability was low) and not on his performance (they said that his contribution to BD during his bench time was low)?
