I’m applying for admission by motion in NY and they require all law employment to be affirmed by the employer (basically, they have to fill out a form that says you were employed in a law capacity). This includes all law employment (including unpaid internships, externships, etc.). I’m concerned that I may not be able to get a response from some employers because they have moved or folded. Has anyone had experience with this, and what did you do? Any feedback would be helpful. Thanks!

I believe there’s guidance on the form/website about what to do in those instances.

If you have found it, please share, because I’ve scoured the website and how found nothing helpful on this subject.

I encountered this during IL admission and just listed individuals’ personal email/cell who could confirm employment dates/quality of work/etc., even though company had shuttered. Went through fine.

Call the department and ask. Pre-covid, they were nice on the phone!

I had to get all these proofs but I’d suggest enclosing a letter with your documents for those firms which dont exist anymore. Also call them, theyre pretty good at picking up.

I just applied by ube transfer to 3rd dept. I had the same issue. The ct said to make every effort but if you can’t get all of the forms, include a statement about your efforts in your cover letter. I had 2 missing from my 7 (internships and clinic count lol).

Honestly, I just wrote a short letter and sent printouts of my email to the managing director at the nonprofit I interned at (with no response). I explained that it folded a few years back and I tried to reach out.

Try several times, if you can’t get responses for some then include a statement and specify dates/times you tried reaching them. You need to make a good faith effort to reach them was what I was told.

I was contacted by a recruiter just before I went on maternity leave. We stayed in touch and now, a month into my leave, I am preparing for a first interview at Google for an interaction designer role. First, any tips on how to prepare for this interview? Second, I feel like if I’m doing all this interview/material prep, I should go all in, apply at other big companies and try for multiple offers. Would I be wasting time since I don’t want to cut my leave (goes to July) short?

The most annoying part of an interview process “create a presentation on our product you know nothing about and present it to 3 people who know every last detail about the product”. It’s not a shortage of people applying, it’s the unnecessarily long interview processes. When many companies are now adapting this, no one has time to put together multiple presentations after normal working hours. Hiring has gotten so complicated for no reason.

Hi All,
I have 2 yoe in .net have 4.8 ctc.
Recently gave interview for TCS, after some days one of the recruiters from tcs called me and said that since i had done only BSC-IT they will deduct 6 mnth of expirence out of the total experience so finally i will left with 1.5 yoe, so for that they were offering 5.5 lpa since.

Is ther any rule one who has odne BSC they will not consider 6 mnth experince, thats the reason they have given to me.

When I interviewed they told me I was not required to recruit but now I’m required to upload 50 “My Relationships” every certain amount of months where other recruiters can technically go after my contacts and recruit them and also am expected to invite potential networking to events and through the beaker model. Is this required? I feel forced and I’ve only been here for less than a month and I’m not loving this approach.
