Does it make sense to work for a congressman after clerking for a federal judge? I have no idea what I want to do career wise, I've already done the firm thing and I don't want to do that, or at least not yet. Pretty sure I'm going to be staying with the congressman's staff for like a 1-1.5 years.

According to the new Wage Rules, are companies giving Basic Salary as 50% of fixed Pay? Should we ask HR of our current company or the next company to actually do the same? Or the rule isn't a mandate and it's upon companies to follow it ?

I work in a pretty small legal community. How do I address this delicately? My client is hung up on “but that’s not that X said” even though I’ve explained it multiple times and way. I’ve been so specialized for so long I’m not even sure how to answer this question for myself. Once upon a time I was somewhat interested in tax but I’m worried that’s where fun goes to die. I kinda dig admin law, although that’s cheating a bit because I work with a federal agency.
