I’m being recommended by an internal source for a contract at a big box retailer as an “IT PM level 3” - how do I figure out what the rate range is? I don’t have a ton of experience with rates. I had worked at this same company before as an independent contractor but as a business analyst and the rate was $115 with my take home as $104. I have 3 yrs experience between then and now at a major consulting group so feel like I should give a higher rate but have no idea where to start.

Am I eligible for appraisal and hike in coming June if I joined on mid February? Because before joining HR mentioned that I will be eligible for hike and appraisal, although I will not be eligible for the variable bonus.

The severance package at Meta for laid off employees almost makes it nice to be laid off depending on what your personal situation is….. personally wouldn’t mind getting 4+ months of full pay to reset and think about what’s next 😬

I make $100K with 12% bonus and was offered a role $130k with 15-20% bonus. 4YOE in provider industry.

I am so tired of it all. I’ve barely eaten in the last 3 days and had to take a painkiller last night to fall asleep. I’m so overworked and I constantly feel like a piece of sh*t. I don’t even have the energy to move right now and feel like I will faint any minute.

So, I started working full-time at a retail store for clothing and accessories and after a brief dispute with my supervisor (my bike broke down which made me come in 20 minutes late to y shift) they told me that it seems like working is not my priority, so to make it easier on me I would only get 20 hours a week. Hi everyone just left my permanent role to go the contractor route. Currently employed through a staffing company so I am a W-2 but plan on going the independent route. They offer insurance and 401k. I understand I’ll need to start an LLC. Any advice or things you wish you’d have known when you first started? Would you advise I stay with the staffing? They take. 16% cut but the projects are lucrative
