I'm considering an internal finance opportunity but have concerns about the role's lack of direct reports. After two years managing six direct reports in a Fortune 100 audit function, I'm hesitant to step back after 11 years in my career, a few which I was a manager at B4. I'm also concerned that declining the role might limit future opportunities. I’d appreciate advice on evaluating or potentially declining the position in light of my career trajectory and leadership goals.

I tried to hold firm as he attempted to 20 question me, who was it, who wants me, what division, how did they find out about me?
