I’m currently a manager at Deloitte looking to entertain exit opportunities, as I don’t see myself staying at the firm long-term. I’m a CPA but I’m not necessarily interested in becoming an accountant. A lot of my work has been more finance transformation and program management experience for the CFO office. I haven’t had the opportunity to work on an alliance, but I would be interested in product management as well. Any tips or recommendations?

Does anyone work or run a satellite office? I’m in a role where our satellite office has no designated leadership that sits regularly with HQ decisions makers. It’s me and an ECD expected to run the day to day with no visibility into the network. We routinely get agency decisions rolling down to us without guidance on how to implement. Received an offer at 300k/year and a Google offer at 200k/year.
I wanted Google since I started the whole interview process, but I am now not sure given the salary difference.

The position at Google is more junior and the team is just being formed, which involves more risk. However, I like the team at the other company.

How are you guys handling your mental health with job rejections or not getting interviews? I left Audit at a midsize firm to join KPMG erp implementation consulting about 6 months ago. So far they seem to only want to staff me on projects with a heavy focus on technical accounting and audit. Spoke to a lot of others who have left and seems like being pigeonholed or staffed on projects not related to the actual core work of the practice is the common reason. I've been on the fence about whether I should stay and hope to be staffed on better projects in the future or leave soon...
