Why such a small salary bump? If you’re moving to another boutique then I don’t think that is enough of a raise
YA! I’m with you on that but our current firms compensation is ridiculously inflated for market value
On the face of it, I think riding it out with your current firm may be a better strategy
If you’re seriously “desperate to get out”, go.
Hey A1, thanks for the two pieces of advice. You’re right about staying positive, especially given there’s absolutely nothing I can do about the current situation. I needed to hear that 🙂
I would start with what best helps you achieve that goal? Staying out or leaving?
I don’t think either really makes a difference? I have strong connections who are willing to put in a word (just waiting for hiring to resume). I will say I am worried how it will look if I’m interviewing/applying to jobs couple months into a new job
6% bump may not make a difference in your day to day comfort (not knowing your financial situation), so money shouldn't factor too greatly here. I'd choose whichever firm has the greatest job security at this time.
