Hello Folks,
My LWD with current organization is on 30-Sep-2022.
I have an offer with HCl and joining date is on 3-oct-2022.
I have cleared the TCS technical and managerial round and got an email to upload the documents to proceed further with HR discussion, an I have done it yesterday.
But my priority is to go with TCS, but the doubt is will TCS provide offer or joining letter before 30-Sep-2022, because only 6 days left to complete my LWD.
Any suggestions to handle this.

I had something similar… be honest and diplomatic.. most recruiters are aware of the turbulence of the last few years . Experienced recruiters will want to hear your story. Those that judge you… not worth your time.. always tried and true… you should only invest in companies that invest in you!
It's easier to fix than you think. I being a professional interviewer I can tell you that 95% of the interviewers don't go past your 1st job if you wrote it well. All you do is add important relevant eye catching topics in the very first paragraph of your most recent job. Once someone reads it and they like it, they don't have time to go through every line of your resume. They get 100s of resumes, no one has time to read it. You are worrying too much. I recently coached a person who hadn't had job for last 20 years (stay home mom) and yet she got a job from her credentials 20 years ago. We made the resume reflect what I told you above. Even though it was 20 years away, the company liked what she had to offer. You are in much better shape than that. Interviewing is a different skillset though.
Add a cover letter and highlight your strengths and you can add some color to the last 5 years. Find a way to talk very positively and still share the dynamics.
I feel you ! I have the same in my resume.. it’s a bummer. Youll make it ! 🙌
Consider writing a brief explanation by the timeline or add a reason for leaving bullet point that includes the brief explanation.
Also consider summarizing the last few years of your tail end experience (especially if it’s similar work to your recent roles or irrelevant to current career goals)
Cover letters never ever get read- even if it's the first page of your resume- we scroll down to look at your experience and time in title- so In your resume, for each job-you can add a short one line description of the company to give reader context for scope of your exp and then "company aquired 2022" Send me your resume if you still need a sanity check
I completely agree with this. Sometimes the cl is a annoyance cause the hiring manager wants to read your work details, not a nice elevator pitch.
Any advice for showing several short contract assignments at companies like some of the bigger well known companies, including google, throughout a few years? List the companies as separate jobs and add “consultant” or combine them into “consulting” or “freelance” or “contract”?
