I am so sorry that happened to you. There is no worse feeling than someone else getting credit for the hard work that you have done. I would have a conversation with your manager regarding your contributions. You have to advocate for yourself.

Thanks so much. I did have a talk with her and showed her my test plans and all. She said she would keep this in mind and thanked me for telling her. That’s it. I guess I have to wait for year end to see if it’ll help with my performance review.
Who gave the credit to the other person? Did they have all of the context? Or do you know why the credit was given to the other person instead of you?

I came up with all the requirements on a macro/automation and passed the UAT testing. It was to go into production. My son got sick, so I was out for 2 days w him in the ER. My coworker took over production checkout (making sure it went in smoothly). She reported the good findings to my boss and her bosses. So they told HER she did a wonderful job! I guess she did help with check out, but I’m a bit peeved. I did tell my boss the details, she said she noted it. I don’t know what that means. But I’ve been looking at other jobs. I actually just told her I’m keeping my eyes open. She said she just wanted me to be happy but was nervous laughing and saying that someone was going to take her “top performer” away. Oh well
Maybe you can lead a retro call, invite your boss and then that can be an opportunity to share what went right / where improvements can be made. I would then book a meet with your manager to highlight your contributions as a summary of the retro
